Terrible experience not happy at all.
I visited this Post Office on Thursday 26th March at 12:33 and paid £10.25 for a Special Delivery by 1pm bag. I realised that I didn’t know the exact address, I had forgotten the postcode, so I told the clerk I would go home and come back, as this is my local branch and I’m familiar with the staff. He reassured me it’s fine and I should come back as I have already paid.
I returned on Saturday 28th March at 10:31 and explained the situation to the lady at the till. She seemed completely unbothered and told me that the process is to charge £10.25 for the bag and another £10.25 for shipping, meaning a total of £20.50 to send one item.
This is simply not true. Special Delivery bags are not charged separately, and I was effectively made to pay twice. Being told that this is “standard process” is misleading and incorrect, and staff should be properly trained on this.
To make matters worse, I wasn’t told anything about how to complain or request a refund. I left feeling frustrated and taken advantage of.
I’ve been a long-standing customer, but this experience has completely put me off. It honestly just felt like a business transaction where customer loyalty doesn’t matter. I won’t be returning to this branch. I work for the post office and know that we do not charge for the bags. I will be reaching out to their area manager.

terribly long wait times, second counter always closed
They just closed the office at 10:30am with 15 people waiting in the queue because they got a coin delivery. Terribly managed and understaffed, I have wasted hours waiting in this stupid queue
Hire more staff!!

In Nisa store. Probably convenient for some. Narrow inside but post office is still on a High Street.
